Pulmonary Function Test (PFT): This is a test done in our clinic to measure you lung function and capacity. Lung specialists perform testing that allows for the precise analysis of your lung capacity and is the gold standard for evaluation of respiratory disorders.
Bronchoscopy: Outpatient examination of the lungs and airways for the diagnosis of respiratory conditions such as pulmonary nodules, persistent cough and unexplained shortness of breath. Performed with gentle sedation, this test is performed by Dr. Rodriguez in a hospital setting.
Pulmonary Stress Testing: This is a comprehensive evaluation of how well your lungs are working during exercise.
Sleep Medicine
We offer complete physician directed evaluation and treatment of your sleep apnea condition. Our sleep services include a wide array of specific tests to identify the source of your sleep diffculties. We offer Home Sleep Tests and testing in an accredited sleep facility. A sampling of tests are included below.
Home Sleep Test (HST): Home sleep testing is a convenient alternative to traditional overnight polysomonograms. The advantage of home testing is that it allows you to sleep in the comfort of your own bed without technicians observing, while a small device worn around your chest collects clinical data as you sleep. The informationi collected is sufficient to identify an obstructive sleep apnea condition and its severity, and patients report more normal sleep.
Polysomnography (PSG) (Laboratory Based Sleep Test): Fully attended overnight sleep testing for the evaluation of fatigue, snoring, and disrupted sleep. PSG is the standard test used in the diagnosis of sleep apnea, and may be performed in a single or two night setting.
Mask Fit: Any daytime opportunity to meet with our team for CPAP mask adjustments and fine tuning of CPAP therapy.
